OOTD: you make me glow, but i cover up, won't let it show

Dress - Primark - £8
Jumper - Primark *unknown price*
Creepers - Ebay - £22.99
Cardi - Charity shop - £5

Hello beauties, so on sunday, i was trying to find something to wear for church and you know when you really have it in your mind to wear something. Well i told myself that i would wear this dress that i hadn't worn yet that i bought a few month back. I put it on and it kinda just hung on my body. Which either means, some fairies have been in my wardrobe, re-sizing all my clothes all my clothes to make it seem like i've lost weight, or i've actually lost weight. I am hoping its the 2nd one. So, i really didn't like the way it fit and i tried putting on a belt and still didn't look right, soo i decided stick a jumper on and tie the back. Somehow, it worked and i'll definitely be trying this will some more of my dresses and light jumpers.
I'm reeeeally loving dogtooth print at the moment
This week has been actual Antarctic weather conditions and i've caught some horrible bug. boo you weather, boo you. and i FINALLY came up with a new blog name. If you know me or see my blog posts, you will see that i love me some bow ties and i after long and hard thinking i decided on 'The Bowtie Diaries' :-)

thoughts on the outfit? thoughts on the new name?

OOTD: just because it burns, doesn't mean you're gonna die.

HAY HAY HAY, its a outfit of the day.
okay so, this whole "i need to blog more this year" isn't going so well. I've just started a new job (yay!) but it takes up alot of time and by the time i get home, im too tired to do anything apart from sleeping. BUT, that will all change, I'm finding a way to at least blog every weekend and hopefully more often than that if i can. I might have to start drinking like a billion coffees a day to keep me awake. also, i REALLY want a new blog name, so if you laaaaavly people could help me out, i would be soooo happy! anyway, back to the outfit....

Dress - Newlook (teen section) - £8 *sale*
Bowtie - Claires - *unknown price*
Lace shirt - Forever 21 *unknown price*
(the belt came with a skirt i got from Amazon)
Chelsea boots - Primark - £15

I really love this tartan dress because i seriously love me some tartan and it was a proper bargain price. I would ALWAYS reccommend checking out the kids section because sometimes you can find some gems in there for half the price of the 'normal' clothes. The lace shirt gives it that edgy look with my personal favourite, the bowtie to add that extra boom boom pow and gives the outfit a preppy girl look.  Boohoo.com have the dress here and  Missguided.co.uk have a super cute tartan and leather cut out dress here and i might just have to make a cheeky little purchase because i'm a little bit in love.
Its now march, which means that the weather needs to sort itself out and get warmer because this whole 'feeling cold' thing just ain't working.

Thoughts on the outfit? blog name suggestions?

who loves orange soda? really, who?

Hello, beautiful people of the internet, so i was on twitter when my friend Vanese told me about Lush T-shirts and how they were looking for bloggers to collab with. Its so weird because not long ago, i was thinking that i want to start wearing more t-shirts and bam bam, Lush T-Shirts came into my life. I really love statement t-shirts and there's so many fun and quirky t-shirts to choose from. From "I Would Give Up Drinking, But I'm Not A Quitter" to "Drop Me Out!" ((gotta love a bit of Rylan Clark)) I emailed them straight away and got a t-shirt sent out the next day. I decided to go with the t-shirt that said "Who Loves Orange Soda?". They have seven colours; Black, Grey, Red, Royal Blue, Sky Blue, White and Yellow. As a 90's child i am a huuuuuuuuuge fan of 'Kenan and Kel' and as soon as i saw this t-shirt i knew it was the one.

The size i ordered was a XL, because i like my t-shirts to be oversized and because i am so tall, it need to be big. But i guess i under-estmated my actual size because its super big, even on me. I will probably be ordering another t-shirt but in a smaller size, so i can wear it tucked into something. Until then, i would wear it with some ripped tights/leggings and pair it up with creepers/converse/any type of trainer, statement jewellery and a denim or leather biker jacket for a 90's grunge look.

The question is; WHO actually likes orange soda? and what actually is it?

Don't forget to give them a cheeky look at www.lushtshirts.co.uk, it would be rude not to.

OOTD: all i want is the taste that your lips allow

Hellooooo beauties, soo today i had to nip out quickly and as i started getting ready, it started snowing and i'm not someone to leave the house when it starts to snow/rain, unless i reeeeeeeally have to. But anyway, even though its not quite spring yet, i decided to whip out the pastel pink.

Bowtie - (was a headband) - Claires - *unknown price*
Shirt - Vintage a.k.a my mums old wardrobe - *unknown price*
Jeggings - Random shop in my area - £10
Boots - Primark - £15

3 years ago i would incorporate pink into pretty much every outfit, now i never wear it. obviously except for today. I really want summer to hurry its ass up and get here, (and not a horrible rainy summer that we get) I was going to wait until summer or at least spring to wear these jeggings but because i have numero uno patience, i decided to just wear them today to brighten up the streets of London.
Monochrome is pretty much everywhere at the moment and i seriously love it. It's so boom boom pow in your face and i really love statement pieces. I remember when like everyone had those black and white striped leggings and i really wanted a pair, but finding some in my size was a myth. Now i've lost a bit of weight, i can get them alot easier, but there's one missing component...umm....whats it again?...oh yeah, money.

thoughts on the outfit?? do you love pastel colours? monochrome?

25 facts about moi :-)

heyyyy beautiful people of the internet, okay so, my internet was down for two weeks and i really didn't know what to do with myself. no blogs, twitter, tumblr, instagram etcccc for 2 whole weeks....i very nearly went to....the library.....*eastenders drums* but i'm back and i thought i'd do a few cheeky lil facts about me. I've been reading a few today and yesterday and its really nice to get to know bloggers more and also i'm very nosey ;). soooo....

1. i.love.bananas. everything about bananas i just love. the taste, the texture, the shape (cough). Like, when the skin is a bit green, its perfect. not too hard, not too soft. Bananas are defo my fave fruit and i could eat them all day, everyday. laaaavly.

2. I have a phobia of flying things. Flies, bees, butterflies, ladybirds (cheeky buggers, acting all innocent, like aww look at my nice spots, then BAM the wings come out), birds, planes, you get the idea. If it has wings. get it away from me. (unless it's cooked chicken wings)

3. Im basically a classified giant. Im 6'1"...i think. Everyday i wish i weren't so tall (unless im at a gig). I've never liked being tall. Everyone always looks at you like you're some freak and its horrible. Secondary school (a.k.a some of the worst years of my life), was a nightmare. I was constantly bullied because of my height and weight and it still affects me now. People tell me "i wish i was your height", gurrrrrrl, no.you.don't. ah well, i cant change my height, so hey ho.

4. I love the smell of petrol. errmahgerrrrrrd. The smell of petrol actually does something to me. I just love it, i cant explain why, i just do.

5. Cereal.cereal.ceeeerrrreeeaaallllll. I just lurrrrrrrve cereal. at any time of the day (mainly in the evening). People in my house think its weird that i eat cereal in the evening, but last time i checked, there was nowhere on the box that says 'can only be consumed in the morning'. its just soo tasty and i love it even more when its a bit soggy too. mmmmmm

6. I may or may not dislike short people next to me. ok, so im sure short people feel this way when really tall people stand next to them. but seriously, i can't stand it (no pun intended)

7. I watch waaaaay too much telly. Glee, New Girl, 90210, Two Broke Girls, all the Kardashian shows, f.r.i.e.n.d.s., Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family...these are just the main ones. I'm sure there's meetings for us tv addicts.

8. The Wanted & Katy Perry are everythaaaaaang. those TW boys are just amazing people and have brought some amazing people into my life from me going to meet them over and over and over again...(also some not-so amazing people..but lets not dwell on those losers). Katy Perry is ma gurrrrrrl. I adore Katy and everything about her. i can't write too much about her or i'll just end of writing a essay and crying, but she has gotten me through alot (obvs, not like personally...i wish i was her friend), made me laugh, cry and everything inbetween.

9. I want to travel the world. New York, California, (well, the whole of America, but those two mainly), Australia, Canada, Thailand, Egypt, Spain, Italy, South Africa, the list is pretty much endless. anyone wanna fund this Shekventure?

10. The number 10 is my favourite number. My birthday is 10th June, when i was 10 i was soo excited about being 'double-digits', i want to have a family of 10 (my poor lady parts), 10 years is a decade, 10 downing street, t e n. ok now im just saying random things about 10. but anyways, 10 is the new black.

11. I was once on tv when i was 6months old. Some famous tv guy from back in the day was outside our church and they interviewed our family for tv. I don't even know what for, but my mum goes on about it anytime she sees the picture.

12.  The smell of flowers makes me gag. So like, i know flowers all supposed to be all cute and romantic, but seriously, they just stink. Although nobody has ever bought me flowers, so maybe i'm just bitter....

13. If i could marry chicken, i would. I love eating chicken more than i love people. there's nothing more to say on the matter.

14. I used to fancy Johnny Bravo when i was younger. yes. the cartoon guy with the big hair. I know i'm not the only person that used to fancy a cartoon character...i hope.

15. I'm allergic to eggs, fish and cashew nuts. I crossed out eggs because i used to be allergic, but one day i ate a cake and i survived. so, i'm sure my mum had been lying to me for 18 years and i was only  psychologically allergic to eggs. cheers mother.

16. I love mixing foods. well, i would still love it if i weren't on a diet. i dip pretty much anything in anything. crisps dipped in yogurt, chips dipped in milkshake, chocolate dipped in hot sauce. i'm dribbling just thinking about it.

17. Hot food makes me a happy bunny.  the hotter the better tbh. but it cant just be spicy, it has to taste good too. If my mouth is gonna be on fire, i wanna taste some flavour too.

18. When i dance, i go total chicken oriental. basically, go hard or go home.

19. My main ambition in life is to be truly happy. ok lets whip out the violins, but its true. One day i'll find true happiness, i don't know when and don't know how. but one day.

20. I love it when people approach me first. a lot of the time i can seem like i'm this super confident person, that doesn't care about what anyone thinks, but that's all lies. I can be a very socially awkward person, but i guess that's just me putting up my guard.

21. I used to suck my thumb and bite my lip so much that i had to wear braces. and i still wear braces behind my top teeth since i got my braces off 5 years ago. food always gets stuck in there!

22. I wore a full leg cast for 2 months. one time in P.E, i kicked a punching bag, dislocated my knee and ended up wearing a FULL LEG cast. lemme tell you something...it wasn't fun. oh and my knee still moves in and out of place all the time.

23. I love me some cheese, but only melted please. or in a sandwich.

24. I have a fear of water. since i nearly drowned when i was 11, i have been scared of water. I really wish i wasn't because i actually want to learn how to swim, but i just can't. It was only recently that i decided to start taking baths again. (and before you get any ideas, i would usually just shower)

25. Procrastination queen. i take for-ever to do anything.i get so easily distracted, forget what i was doing 5 seconds ago and i seriously annoys me. It literally took me over 8 hours to write these facts because i kept getting distracted and doing other things. also my memory is a shambles. uh-noy-ying.

hope you enjoyed your lil dip into the pool of Shekinah. In the words of Dr Apu Nahasapeemapetilon (a.k.a Apu from The Simposons) "thank you, come again"

Atrixo event: scones and makeovers

hello hello, how are you? hello hello, its good to see you....anyone with a toddler ((child, sibling, niece/nephew, or maybe you just know a toddler)), should know that song. anyway, so two weeks ago, i went to a event for Atrixo. I wasn't too familiar with the brand, but i was excited to find out exactly what they are about and what fun things we would get up to at the event. When we (me, Ally, Vanese and Ellie) arrived the building looked so beautiful and the decor was amazing. We walked into the room and we were a little bit late, so they had already started with a sewing class. I can't sew to save my life, but its definitely something that I would love to learn someday. Ally and Vanese and Ellie got hair and face makeovers and I tried a red lip. I wasn't a big fan of the shade of red on me, because i felt like it was too bright for my skin tone. I would prefer a darker red with my skin tone otherwise I just look like a clown. Its still a beautiful colour, just not for me. The champers was flowing and there was loads of cute (not-so-diet-friendly) treats. I tried a scone for the 1st time and i LOVED it. But sadly i won't get that bikini body by eating scones all day, but its nice as a lil treat for yourself. All in all, it was a great night and i really enjoyed myself.

So, as there wasn't enough goodie bags to give to everyone, I was sent some of the products and we also could choose a few of the products they had out on the table aswell.

I'm not really someone who likes to try out new creams because i have eczema and the littlest thing could really irritate my skin. (boo)
I got 3 different types of cream:
Regenerating Treatment with Panthenol
Moisturing Cream with Camomile (in a small tub and squeeze tube)
Intensive Protection Cream with Aloe Vera

Out of all the creams, my favourite is definitely the Regenerating Treatment because it makes my hands feel all moisturized without it feeling sticky and gross. If you have dry skin, is would be the cream for you. It really tackles those problem areas and is all like 'hey you, you will be dry no more'. I like all the products but the this one works the best for my skin.

have you used Atrixo before? are you like in love with scones?
