OOTD: I AM ALICE, I'M IN WONDERLAND

Ello ello ello, okay so I know its been a while...ok maybe a bit more than a while but I'm back and ready to keep up with this blog and make 2014 KICK ASS. 2013 hasn't been the best of years to say the least, but i'm all about moving forward and living life with no regrets! So, I thought I'd start this year off with my personal fave, a good ol' outfit of the day.

so, sometimes I get in those moods where I just want to wear all black and other days I want to wear cute pastel colours, today I chose black. black is the new black after all, right? as I don't really like wearing completely all black I threw on this g o r g e jacket from new look to add a bit of colour. Anyone think of fresh prince of bel air when they look at this jacket? I've never been a huge bomber jacket fan BUT when I spotted this jacket I just grabbed it because how can I resist it? like really?

OOTD: BOWS 'N' HOES

so recently I was contacted by the laaaaaavly people at Red Hot Pr who work alongside Goddiva. I've been to a couple to Goddiva events before (Louise Thompson & Josie Gibson) and the events have always been so good and clothes on the website are just uhh-maze-zing and super affordable. I chose this dress because I really don't own a lot of dresses and I lurrrrve me some denim. I don't think denim will EVER go out of fashion..well because...it's denim. Its such a statement piece and I so versatile. I think this dress is just super cute and I seriously love the fact that it has pockets. I could easily wear this dress in the colder weather, with some tights, ankle boots and chunky cardi. I wore my jelly shoes because 1. I'm just completely in love with jelly shoes at the moment and 2. it just WERKS. Jelly shoes can go with so many outfits and I would definitely recommend getting a pair...in every colour ;-)

Krystof Strozyna Signature Event

so recently, I went to the launch of Krystof Stroyna's signature collection. I was really excited to attend because 1. I had not been to an event in what felt like donkey years and 2. his designs look uhh-maze. So me and my friend got there just a liiiiiiiiiiittle bit late, but there was still a lot of people there and my eyes were just drawn to these gorge pieces. The bright colours and unique symmetry of the pieces really caught my eye and just look so simple, but still so chic. My fave item was the yellow cropped top. I can just imagine wearing some disco pant shorts and chunky boots for a night out look and, some high-waisted structured trousers and flats for a super cute daytime look. I really enjoyed my evening at the showcase and I hope to be going to loadsssssss more!

OOTD: i don't know about you, but i'm feeling 22..(well actually 18)

ello ello ello, pinch, punch and all that. so it's 1st June, and it's my BIRTH MONTH. i don't usually get excited for my birthday because these past years its been pretty crap, but hoping and praying that this year will break the chain of depressing birthdays. I also have a couple events planned to go to this month and i also started the squat, crunches and plank challenge ((gotta get that flat stomach and perky bum...i actually do alot more crunches and the plank is alot longer because it literally burns more and i just love to feel that burn because i know i'm doing actual work)), so here's to a new month and a new start....

so I am really not a dress person. I will usually only wear a dress like this if I really have to, or if i'm going to some sort of occasion. This dress is very Taylor Swift-esque, and don't get me wrong, I love me some t-swizzle, but her style is not my style. If I wear a dress, its defo not going to be a lace one like this....BUT yesterday I found this dress at the back of my wardrobe that my good ol' pally ally gave to me some time ago, and I mainly didn't wear it because it didn't even fit before, but now it does (its actually a bit big now) and teamed with some chelsea boots/biker boots and a statement jacket, it adds a bit more of ME to the outfit. If you wanted it more girly, you could wear a denim jacket (with or without sleeves) and some ballet flats. For some reason, I see this as a really cute 'date outfit'. now I just need the boyfriend part *sigh*

Helloooo beauties, this week i've been a right ol' busy bee and thank God we had that long weekend because it was truely needed. I'm going to do a 'my week in instagrams/pictures' more often because i did one before and i really liked it and if you're a nosey parker like me, you'll love these cheeky little insights into peoples lifes. Anywaysss, soo on with the outfit...

so, I LOVE disney. disney. disney. disney. I might not be skipping around reciting all the words to The Little Mermaid or Cinderella, with daises in my hair and constantly living cute little dresses, but i really do love disney. Mickey Mouse is my home dawwwwwg. ((if anyone would like to transport me to disneyland and I can live there forever, that would be great)).

So Primark have really been bringing out some nice bits. When I saw this crop top, I quickly picked it up and put it in my basket...I then realised it weren't my size so I had to actually get my size. I really love it as it can go with sooooo many things and its all vintage-mickey, which I lurrrve. I bought the tights on a different day and paired with these disco shorts (dupes), creepers and a denim jacket, it gives me a 'Mickey goes grunge' look.

OOTD: im a barbie girl, in a barbie world

 Hello beauties, so the nice weather we were having decided to go for a little holiday, but it weren't too bad, but to be honest i'm waiting for the 30 degrees weather, then i'll get excited or just a one way trip to a hot country. hey ho, on with the outfit...

so a couple months ago, I saw a vintage looking Barbie jumper and joggers set on asos.com and I couldn't myself wearing it, but it did catch my eye. I can't even remember how many barbies I had as a child and when I saw it just brought back all those memories of playing with my barbies in my room, making up stories about their life's with my other dolls wishing it was my life (now thinking about it, its actually quite sad..hmm). but anywaaaays, last week I saw this crop top on Ebay and I was just like "ermahgerrrrrrrrd, i.need.that.now" and for only a fiver, I was typing in my details faster than you can say "barbie". I'm not sure if you can see the huge ladder in my tights which I created myself to get that "grunge look"...ok actually, in typical Shekinah-ness, as I was putting them on for the 1st time I ripped it and I just werk..yes WERKed with it. *three snaps in a Z formation*

OOTD: how do you get up from an all time low?

ello ello ello, so over the past few weeks have been soo ill and you know when you just basically feel like death and you want to just lie down all the time, curl up in your bed with a hot drink and watch pretty much anything..well, i can't really do that during the week because of work (boo!), so i haven't had that time to fully get better but hey ho, i cant still walk and talk, so what am i really complaining about? so anyways, today i went to church and basically alot of people got a bit too excited that the sun was out. I saw waaaaay too many legs and toes out today and i was just feeling cold looking to them.

I'm really loving this whole dungarees/pinafore trend that's around at the moment. I bought these dungarees a few weeks ago and I do really love them, and I can't wait until I get that hot bod, so I can wear it with a crop top underneath.

so basically, yes, i know i'd been super bad with posting and yes, i have been repeatedly smacking myself in the face. I just have so much work, but i really do love blogging and i need to knuckle down and really get serious. I seriously need to learn to JUST.BLOODY.BLOG. i'm going to post AT LEAST once or twice a week. *pinky promise*

ok so,  i really hate deciding what to wear when i go out (espesh with this bi-polar weather). I try to just throw things on, but it never really works because i just change my mind ((like a girl changes clothes)) we've all been there, when we look threw our entire wardrobe and decide we have "no clothes" and are just gonna go out in joggers and a hoodie or a bin bag, then eventually find something worth showing the outside world and realise we probably would have been fine with the 1st outfit we picked in the beginning. so, after the whole "let me just try on every item in my wardrobe" i finally decided on a outfit.

Hello beauties, so on sunday, i was trying to find something to wear for church and you know when you really have it in your mind to wear something. Well i told myself that i would wear this dress that i hadn't worn yet that i bought a few month back. I put it on and it kinda just hung on my body. Which either means, some fairies have been in my wardrobe, re-sizing all my clothes all my clothes to make it seem like i've lost weight, or i've actually lost weight. I am hoping its the 2nd one. So, i really didn't like the way it fit and i tried putting on a belt and still didn't look right, soo i decided stick a jumper on and tie the back. Somehow, it worked and i'll definitely be trying this will some more of my dresses and light jumpers. 

I'm reeeeally loving dogtooth print at the moment

This week has been actual Antarctic weather conditions and i've caught some horrible bug. boo you weather, boo you. and i FINALLY came up with a new blog name. If you know me or see my blog posts, you will see that i love me some bow ties and i after long and hard thinking i decided on 'The Bowtie Diaries' :-)
