OOTD: WILD HEART

Jersey // Topshop (similar one here)
Disco Pants // Missguided
Converse // Schuh
Choker // Ebay

So, this weather is REALLY horrible ain't it? I'm not sure if a mesh t-shirt is the best idea in this weather, but hey ho, I like it. I got this t-shirt in the almighty Topshop sale (online) and I said I was going to save it for the summer but, as I saw it hanging in my wardrobe, it kept screaming "wearrrrr meeeeeeee!!!", so I did. But its been put away at the back of my wardrobe so I don't over wear it by the time summer comes around (I have a tendancy to do that).
I've been loving choker recently and I found this little gem on ebay. Good ol' ebay.

OOTD: I AM ALICE, I'M IN WONDERLAND

Ello ello ello, okay so I know its been a while...ok maybe a bit more than a while but I'm back and ready to keep up with this blog and make 2014 KICK ASS. 2013 hasn't been the best of years to say the least, but i'm all about moving forward and living life with no regrets! So, I thought I'd start this year off with my personal fave, a good ol' outfit of the day.

Mesh Top // Primark
Skirt // Boohoo
Necklace // Topshop
Converse // Schuh
Jacket // New Look

so, sometimes I get in those moods where I just want to wear all black and other days I want to wear cute pastel colours, today I chose black. black is the new black after all, right? as I don't really like wearing completely all black I threw on this g o r g e jacket from new look to add a bit of colour. Anyone think of fresh prince of bel air when they look at this jacket? I've never been a huge bomber jacket fan BUT when I spotted this jacket I just grabbed it because how can I resist it? like really?

July Faves 2013

Vaseline and Cocoa Butter has been used in my family since the birth of baby Jesus. Since Vaseline decided to bring out a cocoa butter version of their famous creams, I knew that I had to jump on that wave. I CAN-NOT stress how much I LOVE this product. I don't like using different products on my skin, as I have been a eczema sufferer since I was born and its only in the past few months that I've actually been able to use 'normal' creams and lotions, but I'm still a bit reluctant to putting any cream on my skin, until I started using this cream last summer. Its really good for when you get straight out of the shower, because I get horrible dry skin like 10 secs after I leave the shower, so I have to moisturise literally straight away, then sit in my towel for like 25 hours after that (I know I'm not the only person that does that!). Another thing I love about this cream is that you literally only need a little bit to cover a lot of your body and its not sticky at all, so its great for summer..well its great for any time of the year

*get it from Superdrug here and from Boots here*

so during summer my hair gets so dry and dead and because I'm giving my hair a 'weave break', it's out all the time and well i don't know about you but, (I'm feeling 22) I need to keep my hair moisturised  or it'll just be all itchy and ain't nobody got time fo' that. This spray works wonders to my cray cray hair and keeps it moistened and shiny. Whether you have weave, braids, twists, or your natural hair, it keeps it looking and feeling fresh

*get it from Paks here*
(they sell this in most afro/caribbean a.k.a black people hair shops)

okay so nobody wants be be THAT GIRL, who gets all sticky and smelly during the hot weather...well I know I don't. so I decided to pick up a few of these body sprays. The one I usually use from boots has been...discontinued *cries* but I'm hoping they bring out another one similar. But this body spray does the job quite nicely and I've been spraying the crap out of a range of these sprays all summer

*get it from Superdrug here*
(couldn't find it on the Boots website, but it's in store)

so when I first got this lip butter I wasn't too keeno beano on it, because my lips are just weird and my bottom lip is more moisturised than my top lip...(yeah I don't know either), so I just usually stick to good ol' Vaseline but this summer I've picked up my lip butter again and its just been WERKING. I really do love it for summer, I think its because I don't have the whole chapped lips thing that tries to happen during winter, so for right now I'm loving this lip butter and it smells SO GOOD I literally wanna eat it

*get it from Superdrug here and Boots here*

oh the famous peach melba. I've been hearing about this peach melba since it came out and I only recently got it because its such a cute summer colour. This summer I've been loving my peaches, light pink and nude nails (although right now as I'm typing my nails are a dark red, but shh). The summer weather makes me wanna have either bare or really light colours on my nails and I've been lurrrrrrrving this peach melba because its literally the perfect summer colour.

*get it from Superdrug here and Boots here*
(I couldn't actually find this colour on the Boots website, but it's definitely in stores)

Imagine Dragons - Radioactive // Icona Pop ft Chari XCX - I Love It // Zedd - Clarity (brillz remix) // Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop

Will.i.am - #willpower (album) // Demi Lovato - Demi (album) // Fuse Odg - Antenna // Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - The Heist (album)

so, clearly I love my chart music. I'm always listening to Capital FM or Kiss FM and usually I just get addicted to the songs they play on there. These are the songs & albums I've just seen loving this July and playing on repeat, there's obviously A LOT more but these are the main ones I think.
Demi's new album is basically perfection and Will.i.am just continues with his BANG-ERS on this new album. I love my afrobeats and have been for years so when I heard 'Antenna' on capital radio, I literally had to do a double take and I thought it was my iPod, but nope, it was the radio and I'm literally so happy that FINALLY afro beats are becoming more and more known.
I've also been listening to the whole of Frank Ocean - Channel Orange every night, like its my job.

thoughts on my july faves? whats your july/general summer faves?

OOTD: BOWS 'N' HOES

Dress - Goddiva // Shoes - Ebay // Bow Tie - Topshop// Bag - Vintage (aka, used to be my mums in the pre-historic times)// Flannel Shirt - Portobello Market

so recently I was contacted by the laaaaaavly people at Red Hot Pr who work alongside Goddiva. I've been to a couple to Goddiva events before (Louise Thompson & Josie Gibson) and the events have always been so good and clothes on the website are just uhh-maze-zing and super affordable. I chose this dress because I really don't own a lot of dresses and I lurrrrve me some denim. I don't think denim will EVER go out of fashion..well because...it's denim. Its such a statement piece and I so versatile. I think this dress is just super cute and I seriously love the fact that it has pockets. I could easily wear this dress in the colder weather, with some tights, ankle boots and chunky cardi. I wore my jelly shoes because 1. I'm just completely in love with jelly shoes at the moment and 2. it just WERKS. Jelly shoes can go with so many outfits and I would definitely recommend getting a pair...in every colour ;-)

you can look at all the new Goddiva denim range here and while you're there look at just all the Goddiva stuff here

OOTD: WHAT RHYMES WITH HUG ME?

PINAFORE & CROPTOP - PRIMARK//JELLIES - EBAY//SOCKS - TOPSHOP//BAG - VINTAGE ((it was my mums like back in the day when dinosaurs roamed the earth or something))

Sooooo, not that long ago i found myself going to the motherland that is Primark because I wanted SOCKS and left with about two of those big brown bags o__0 (damn you Primark!)
These days whenever i go into shops, i go to the teen/children section because alot of the time the prices are ALOT cheaper than the rest of the shop. I'm sure this pinafore would be alot longer on an actual 13 year old, but that's mainly because I am basically the height of a tree in your local park. so the moral of the story is, ALWAYS have a cheeky look around the kids section because, exactly what have you got to loose?
ok, so I'm literally IN LOVE with the recent comeback of the jellies and even though its not everyone's cup of tea, i think they look SO CUTE and just remind me of happy times, running to school in my jellies. (I used to actually LOVE going to school...that all changed when I got to secondary school!) This is a socks and sandals combo that actually works...C R A Y.

I actually miss the cold, horrible weather and complaining about how crappy it is. I'm really not about this hot, humid weather life. (unless i'm living in LA/Miami/any nice hot country, then I think I might just be able to get over the heat ;) also, I feel like my dress sense is alot better in the colder weather.

OOTD: in my fantasy, we're running wild

Helloooooooooo beauts, so i've set myself a goal to blog more often, even if it's just about the weather. I.WILL.BLOG. I really want to go to more blogger events because I haven't been to one in for-ever and i really lurrrrve attending them. anyways...the outfit...

Top - H &M ((bought from Ebay)) // Jeggings - Missguided // Shirt - Newlook// Socks - Topshop//Chelsea Boots - *unknown shop*

so sometimes *cough* practically everyday *cough*, i go on Ebay and just search for hours for pretty much anything. A couple months ago and i was scrolling (that Ebay iPhone app is the devil in disguise) and saw this beaut crop top from H&M, so i quickly placed a bid and i was determined to win this top. Some other person was clearly trying to challenge me, but i won and for only £3.50, can someone say BAR-GAIN? I just really love it because it just looks so cute and can go with sooooo many outfits. I am defo in love.
So, I have worn the life out of these jeggings recently and I need to buy some more high waisted jeggings/jeans that actually fit me. I wish there was more stuff for people whose legs are the length of your average tree. *sigh* I've had my eye on those Topshop Joni jeans for God knows how long. High waisted jeans/jeggings/trousers/shorts are my fave because it goes in at the waist (duh) and just gives you that nice shape and if its tight, it sucks in any wobbly bits.

Thoughts on the outfit? are you an eBay addict like me?

OOTD: i don't know about you, but i'm feeling 22..(well actually 18)

ello ello ello, pinch, punch and all that. so it's 1st June, and it's my BIRTH MONTH. i don't usually get excited for my birthday because these past years its been pretty crap, but hoping and praying that this year will break the chain of depressing birthdays. I also have a couple events planned to go to this month and i also started the squat, crunches and plank challenge ((gotta get that flat stomach and perky bum...i actually do alot more crunches and the plank is alot longer because it literally burns more and i just love to feel that burn because i know i'm doing actual work)), so here's to a new month and a new start....

dress - H&M// necklace - Forever 21// boots - random shop near my house// socks - Topshop// Waist-Jacket - Primark

so I am really not a dress person. I will usually only wear a dress like this if I really have to, or if i'm going to some sort of occasion. This dress is very Taylor Swift-esque, and don't get me wrong, I love me some t-swizzle, but her style is not my style. If I wear a dress, its defo not going to be a lace one like this....BUT yesterday I found this dress at the back of my wardrobe that my good ol' pally ally gave to me some time ago, and I mainly didn't wear it because it didn't even fit before, but now it does (its actually a bit big now) and teamed with some chelsea boots/biker boots and a statement jacket, it adds a bit more of ME to the outfit. If you wanted it more girly, you could wear a denim jacket (with or without sleeves) and some ballet flats. For some reason, I see this as a really cute 'date outfit'. now I just need the boyfriend part *sigh*

walk into Topshop, like whaddup, I can't afford anything

Helloooooooooo,
soo, usually i've give you an update on life or whatever in this little opening paragraph, but theres not much i can say (well theres alot, but we'll save that for a later post) all i can say is, its been a bit of an emotional roller-coaster this week. Things are a bit cray cray, but always look on the bright side of life right? right? anyways, before we get too deep on a post that is supposed to just be about an outfit, let keep calm and curry on..(yess CURRY)...

Top - Primark *unknown price* //Skirt - Ebay.co.uk - £11.99// Converse - Schuh - £43 // Shirt - market stall in Brick Lane - £2.50

ok, so I know we all do that thing where like something that's suddenly in fashion looks so like "what even was the designer thinking?" at first, and then after a while you're all like "ok, its actually alright" well, that's how I felt when I first saw these tops with the cut out shoulders. I just thought (and said many times) what a random place to cut out, like why would you just have your shoulders out like that, but the other day I went to that dangerous zone which steals all my money....Primark *dun dun dun*. I never go into Primark without buying pretty much the whole shop, or I pick up everything, try it all on and then put half the stuff back when I realise my billionaire mind doesn't quite match with my empty bank account *sigh* but so anyways, I went to the wonderland that is Primark and started picking up a few bits and saw this top and was like "errrmahgerrrrrd im getting it", when a couple months ago, I saw these kind of cut-out shoulder tops and wouldn't even bat an eyelid at 'em. I hope to get some more tops with cut out shoulders and i can't wait to style 'em. I'm sure the next trend will be cut out elbows...*watch this space*

thoughts on the outfit? does Primark ((or any other shop)) eat all your money?

OOTD: im a barbie girl, in a barbie world

Hello beauties, so the nice weather we were having decided to go for a little holiday, but it weren't too bad, but to be honest i'm waiting for the 30 degrees weather, then i'll get excited or just a one way trip to a hot country. hey ho, on with the outfit...

Crop Top and Creepers - Ebay// Dungarees - boohoo.com// Tights - Primark// Denim Jacket - (used to be my dads  // Shirt (under jacket) - Newlook *sale*

so a couple months ago, I saw a vintage looking Barbie jumper and joggers set on asos.com and I couldn't myself wearing it, but it did catch my eye. I can't even remember how many barbies I had as a child and when I saw it just brought back all those memories of playing with my barbies in my room, making up stories about their life's with my other dolls wishing it was my life (now thinking about it, its actually quite sad..hmm). but anywaaaays, last week I saw this crop top on Ebay and I was just like "ermahgerrrrrrrrd, i.need.that.now" and for only a fiver, I was typing in my details faster than you can say "barbie". I'm not sure if you can see the huge ladder in my tights which I created myself to get that "grunge look"...ok actually, in typical Shekinah-ness, as I was putting them on for the 1st time I ripped it and I just werk..yes WERKed with it. *three snaps in a Z formation*

thoughts on the outfit?? anyone else really wanted a volkswagen beetle because barbie had one?

OOTD: how do you get up from an all time low?

ello ello ello, so over the past few weeks have been soo ill and you know when you just basically feel like death and you want to just lie down all the time, curl up in your bed with a hot drink and watch pretty much anything..well, i can't really do that during the week because of work (boo!), so i haven't had that time to fully get better but hey ho, i cant still walk and talk, so what am i really complaining about? so anyways, today i went to church and basically alot of people got a bit too excited that the sun was out. I saw waaaaay too many legs and toes out today and i was just feeling cold looking to them.

Dungarees - Primark - £14// Jacket - random shop near my house *forgot the name* - £10//Shirt - Forever 21 - £14.95//Bow Tie - Claires - £4//Boots - Primark - £14//Socks - Topshop - £3.50

I'm really loving this whole dungarees/pinafore trend that's around at the moment. I bought these dungarees a few weeks ago and I do really love them, and I can't wait until I get that hot bod, so I can wear it with a crop top underneath.
